Welcome!!

My full name is Emma Grant, and I'm 14 years old. I'm in Year 11 at Golden Grove High School, which is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. I've been using the Internet for nearly a year now, and started my own page in April. I also run a web page for Salisbury East Little Athletics Centre, which can be found here.

I have an extremely confusing family, so I'll sum it up by saying that I have three sisters, two sort-of (but not actually related) brothers, and one adorable nephew, Mark, who's turning four in August. I live with my mother, and my sister Elspeth.

I also spend a lot of my time at Little Athletics. I became Centre Captain last season, and received a Junior Life Membership. I've been at Salisbury East since I was about four or so, and I really enjoy it, although I'm not all that good (actually, I suck.). For the past three years I've been coaching the 5, 6 and 7 year olds, which is really rewarding, because I get to see them enjoy themselves as much as I did when I was their age.

I'm studying Design, Spanish, Physics, English, Pure Maths, Australian Studies at school. I'm secretary of the Student Council, and I seem to spend most of my life organising things like Quiz Night and other fundraisers. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life. I want to go into radio, but I'm also thinking about graphic, web page, or fashion design. I absolutely love design, and you can check out my page on my favourite fashion designer, Isaac Mizrahi, here.

I love Formula 1 racing. Unfortunately, I've only been to one Grand Prix event - a practice day in 1994 at the Adelaide Circuit. I've always been into Formula 1, basically because my parent loved it, so I pretty much grew up with them around me. Since the race has been in Melbourne though, (the Victorians stole the Grand Prix from us in 1995), I've followed the sport. My favourite driver is Jacques Villeneuve, followed closely by Damon Hill and David Coulthard. I absolutely despise Jean Alesi. Unlike most Villeneuve fans, I don't hate Michael Schumacher - he's a racer at heart, and although he does have ulterior motives some (okay, most) of the time, he deserves respect. (This would have been a photo of me and the great Ayrton Senna - well, the Madame Tussaud's version, anyway! - but the camera decided to chuck a spastic J )
